Eberspaecher further develops Cooltronic for cooling the truck driver's cab

- New compact product generation with high cooling capacity

- Engine-independent and quiet operation

- Easy integration thanks to ready-to-install system

Esslingen (Germany), 11 May, 2026 – Summer heat poses challenges for truck drivers during their breaks. It prevents restful sleep, and thus impairs their performance the next day. With the new generation of Cooltronic, Eberspaecher offers a compact and lightweight parking cooler that enables efficient cooling of the cab. The roof-mounted solution ensures comfortable temperatures independently of the vehicle’s engine.

Eberspaecher offers a comprehensive portfolio of parking coolers for trucks, covering a wide range of performance requirements. The Cooltronic product line includes models for integration into the vehicle's roof hatch. Thanks to its engine-independent operation, there is no idling during air-conditioning in all performance classes. This reduces fuel consumption, lowers operating costs and CO₂ emissions, enabling compliance with legal requirements. An integrated undervoltage protection system ensures that sufficient power is always available to start the engine while also preserving the vehicle battery.

Powerful and efficient for reliable climate control
With the new Cooltronic 2000 G3 Hatch and Cooltronic 1600 G3 Hatch models, Eberspaecher is expanding its range of high-performance parking coolers systems for 12- and 24-volt applications. With a cooling capacity of up to 2,000 and 1,600 watts respectively, they enable continuous and even air-conditioning of the cabin - even at high outside temperatures. At the same time, they reduce the humidity in the interior, contributing to a pleasant cabin climate.

Compact, lightweight and easy to integrate
The systems impress with their low weight of around 31 kilograms at maximum power and their flat and compact design with dimensions of
850 x 650 x 168 millimeters. As Cooltronic Hatch models, they are designed for installation in the vehicle's roof hatch and can be installed as a ready-to-fit system in just a few steps. Vehicle-specific installation kits also enable precise integration.

Quiet and comfortable to use
Modern inverter technology ensures smooth start-ups and energy-efficient operation. The particularly low-noise operation creates a quieter environment during rest periods and helps drivers get a good night’s sleep. In addition to high performance, the systems offer additional features for the driver’s daily work. These include a radio remote control and an intuitive touch display, which the driver can use to adjust the temperature for uniform cooling of the entire cab. The new models are available worldwide.
