Esslingen (Germany), 20 September 2022 – Pepijn Dinandt is taking over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eberspaecher Group's two Divisions Climate Control Systems and Automotive Controls. Dr. Jörg Schernikau, previously COO of the two Divisions at the Esslingen-based automotive supplier, has left the company at his own request. 

Pepijn Dinandt will take over as CEO of the two Divisions Climate Control Systems and Automotive Controls of the Eberspaecher Group with immediate effect. "We are very pleased that we have been able to gain a very experienced manager in the 61-year-old Dutchman," emphasizes Managing Partner Martin Peters. Dinandt brings more than 30 years of expertise as CEO and Executive Chairman from industrial companies such as URSA, Braas Monier and Mannesmann Plastics Machinery, and has accompanied successful global transformation processes in the manufacturing sector. Martin Peters adds: "With Pepjin Dinandt, we are continuing to drive forward our transformation process directly and holistically and are tapping the outstanding potential of these two business areas." 

Current COO Dr. Jörg Schernikau is leaving the company at his own request. "We would like to thank Dr. Schernikau for the successful and trusting cooperation", adds Peters, clarifying, "In the past five years, based on his proven expertise, particularly in technology, he shaped the global expansion of activities in the area of vehicle electronics as well as the intensification of activities related to e-mobility." This period also saw the start of the hydrogen activities for which he was responsible for the Eberspaecher Group.

More than 3,000 employees work in these areas of the supplier worldwide. Products and solutions for the trend topics of electromobility, autonomous driving, and digitalization are on the verge of a major growth spurt. To this end, Eberspaecher is currently investing in a plant for electrical high-voltage heaters in Ruse, Bulgaria, which will be used in particular in electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in Europe. The product portfolio of the Divisions includes heating and air-conditioning solutions for thermal management in vehicles of all drive types (Climate Control Systems) and vehicle electronics for efficient and safe energy and vehicle electrical system management (Automotive Controls). The two areas work closely together, for example in the development and production of electronic control units for heating or bus air-conditioning systems. In 2021, the Group generated sales of over 650 million euros with products from the two Divisions.
