The Caravan Salon 2024 closes its doors and leaves a lasting impression: More than 250,000 visitors from 69 countries came to Duesseldorf to experience the latest trends and innovations. Eberspächer was once again right in the middle of it all, presenting its solutions for a pleasant climate in campers and caravans.
9 September 2024 – "Once a year, the entire caravaning industry comes together at Messe Duesseldorf, which gives us a unique and direct exchange with manufacturers and visitors," explains Leonhard Bazlen, Marketing Segment Manager. "In this way, we receive valuable feedback from the usage and we offer interested parties the opportunity to experience our products first-hand." Over 778 exhibitors from 35 countries showcased their latest models and innovations. In addition to leisure vehicles of all sizes and price ranges, accessories, technical equipment and add-on parts were also in high demand across the 250,000 square meters of exhibition space. A tour of the Eberspächer booth offered innovative thermal management solutions for all vehicle and drive types.
WARMTH FOR THE JOURNEY
Compact, quiet and can be used anywhere - that's the new E-Airtronic with 1 kW heating power. It was the first thing that caught the eye of visitors to the Eberspächer booth. "With its small dimensions, it can be installed wherever cozy warmth is needed on cold days," explains Leonhard Bazlen. The electric air heater is the ideal companion for everyone. In electric vehicles, it can draw its power directly from the vehicle battery. It also runs via a shore power connection and is therefore also suitable for caravans or motorhomes with a conventional drive. It can alternatively be powered by an additional battery. Its modular design offers numerous variants, air outlets and flexible application options. And best of all: thanks to the stepless and brushless fan, it works particularly quietly, perfect for a restful night's sleep. "The E-Airtronic was our highlight this year and has been very well received," he says. "Customers were impressed by the compact dimensions."
A COOL BREEZE
On one side of the Eberspächer booth, everything revolved around the Breezonic. The Breezonic was realistically installed on the roof of a replica caravan. There it not only cooled the seating area below, but visitors could also try out the many operating options live on site - whether app, remote control or wall-mounted control panel. The air distribution box allows control directly on the device via a touch panel. Eberspächer offers the system in two different performance classes of 2.5 and 3.6 kW. "The Breezonic Performance is currently one of the most powerful systems on the market," explains Leonhard Bazlen. "It is particularly suitable for cooling larger motorhomes and caravans in summer." It heats with a heat pump in the cooler seasons. "The whisper-quiet operation and the intuitive app particularly impressed visitors."
HOT SOLUTIONS FOR A COMFORTABLE CLIMATE
The classics were also on show in Duesseldorf. The third generation of the Airtronic air heater is known above all for its quickly available heat with optimized power consumption in output classes from 2 to 8 kW. The Hydronic offers pleasant warmth, just like at home, via heat exchangers or underfloor heating. The Plugtronic electric parking heater warms the engine or vehicle interior completely emission-free. A 230 V mains connection supplies it with power. "Of course, a lot of people approach us about the established auxiliary heaters," says Leonhard Bazlen. "People simply know the Airtronic and Hydronic, many have them installed in their own camper or car."
And anyone who was attentive at the trade fair or had a little insider knowledge could also discover Eberspächer products on other stands. Whether it was an Eberspächer control panel or air vents in a camper that indicated a heater from the thermal management experts. "We had many technical discussions with existing and potential customers on site and took home important ideas and, above all, new orders," recalls Leonhard Bazlen. "Next year, we'll all be back in Duesseldorf at the same time."
