Purem by Eberspaecher extends its activities in the US

– 250 local jobs with a new plant in Louisville, Kentucky (USA)

– Diesel exhaust aftertreatment systems for a North American automotive manufacturer

– On-site visit of Kentucky Economic Development Secretary Hayes

Esslingen, Germany / Louisville (KY), USA, December 8, 2021Newly won orders and customer proximity: Two reasons for Purem by Eberspaecher to expand its footprint with a new plant in Louisville, Kentucky. The new facility covers over 130,000 square feet space. Production of Diesel exhaust aftertreatment systems will start in November 2022 and around 250 local jobs will be created. Secretary Larry Hayes got an on-site tour of the facility together with Purem by Eberspaecher CEO Dr. Thomas Waldhier.

My congratulations to CEO Dr. Thomas Waldhier and the Purem by Eberspaecher team. We appreciate their investment and commitment to creating 200-plus jobs in Kentucky’s largest metro. Purem by Eberspaecher CEO Dr. Thomas Waldhier adds: “We see a very dedicated and growing team in Louisville. I am very excited to announce that up to one million components for Clean Mobility will be produced and delivered out of this plant each year.” Waldhier also underlined the very good partnership with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the City of Louisville in the past months.

Products for emission reduction of Diesel vehicles
The plant will serve as a Tier 1 supplier for a major North American automotive manufacturer with Diesel after treatment systems. These include catalytic converters, particulate filters as well as complete systems to reduce emissions in Diesel pickup trucks. 

With the new facility in Louisville, Purem by Eberspaecher expands its footprint in the Americas. Therefore, the exhaust technology specialists run six existing manufacturing and development sites in the USA. They are also represented by a production plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, and Sorocaba, Brazil.
