Change in the management of Divisions Climate Control Systems and Automotive Controls

- Jörg Steins becomes Co-CEO as of 1 January 2024

- Many years of expertise in the automotive supply industry

- Shared responsibility with Co-CEO Pepijn Dinandt

Esslingen (Germany), 12 December, 2023 – Jörg Steins will join Eberspaecher's management team as Co-CEO of the Divisions Climate Control Systems and Automotive Controls from 1 January 2024. The 56-year-old will thus assume joint responsibility with the previous CEO Pepijn Dinandt. He has been successfully managing the Divisions since September 2022.

As Co-CEOs, Pepijn Dinandt and Jörg Steins thus form a dual leadership with shared responsibility for the Divisions and their direct management within the associated Business Units. They report directly to the Managing Partner and Chairman of the Executive Board Martin Peters.

Dual leadership shapes transformation
"We are actively shaping the transformation of our company and I am convinced that, with the new management, we will succeed in further expanding the future potential of our products, especially for e-mobility", says Martin Peters, explaining the decision. The company will benefit in two ways: "Pepijn Dinandt has given the Divisions a very good basic direction with his strategy and process expertise, and now Jörg Steins is promoting further development with his industry and technology experience", Peters continues.

Jörg Steins brings 24 years of expertise in various management positions in the automotive supplier industry to this role. Most recently, the graduate engineer was CEO and COO of Kamax Holding for around six years. The married 56-year-old also has many years of experience in managing family businesses.

Divisions for trend topics
In the Divisions Climate Control Systems and Automotive Controls of the supplier, over 3,000 employees worldwide work on products and solutions for the trending topics of electromobility, autonomous driving and digitalization. In addition to heating and climate control solutions for thermal management in vehicles of all drive types (Climate Control Systems), the portfolio includes vehicle electronics for efficient and safe energy and electrical system management (Automotive Controls). Both Divisions work closely together and generated sales of around 785 million euros within the Group in 2022.
