Electronics division captures North America
The Automotive Controls division takes the next step into the future: The newly established sales subsidiary Eberspächer Controls North America Inc., headquartered in Novi, Michigan (Greater Detroit, USA), has also been serving the North American market for vehicle electronics since 1 October. Eberspächer has received orders and several new inquiries from North American customers for its semiconductor switches and energy storage systems. These innovative modules are used in electric vehicles as temporary storage for energy recuperated from braking operations so that the energy can be reused. They are implemented as backups for safety-relevant assistance systems and to supply high-performance consumers. This means that these Eberspächer products contribute to safety, energy efficiency and consumption optimization. more
Well equipped for car comfort this winter
The days are barely getting shorter, but already many car drivers are once again facing tiresome ice-scraping and unpleasant shivering at the wheel. Anyone who prefers to get into a nicely pre-heated vehicle and wants to enjoy a clear all-round view right from the start should now opt for a pre-heater. Thanks to clever energy management, even people driving just short distances can now enjoy this convenience. Whereas conventional units require around 30 minutes to heat up, with the Hydronic 2 Comfort from Eberspächer windshields are usually free of ice within a heating time ten minutes upwards. This benefits the battery which, according to the rule of thumb “Heating time equals driving time”, fully charges again just as quickly. World debut by Eberspächer Sütrak
A world debut by Eberspächer Sütrak is the new bus ac system AC 230 with its innovative heat pump. Its biggest advantage: the roof-top system works according to a classical refrigerant circuit with the special feature of air flow reversal. This significantly simplifies the refrigerant circuit of a heat pump, which until now was complex. All operating states can be implemented in one system at no additional expense. There is a seamless transition from cooling to heating mode. Downtimes, as required by conventional systems for circuit reversal, are a thing of the past. The AC 230 is especially customized to the central air ducts in electric, hybrid and trolley buses. If required, the system can also be adapted for buses with lateral roof air ducts.
