Esslingen, Germany / Louisville (KY), US, 27 July 2022 – The continuing strong demand for exhaust aftertreatment systems and the proximity to the customer make an increased local presence necessary. The new plant at Louisville, Kentucky (USA) demonstrates the relevance of the market for Purem by Eberspaecher. The launch of the serial production will be in November 2022. Purem by Eberspaecher Executive Vice President Ralf Maus was more than happy to welcome Andy Beshear, Governor of the State of Kentucky, on site for the official opening ceremony.

Diesel exhaust aftertreatment systems from Purem by Eberspaecher will be produced on an area of more than 180,000 square feet from November 2022. This will add another manufacturing facility to the global production footprint: Louisville is Eberspaecher’s seventh site in the USA and will create approximately 250 new jobs in the region. During his visit on site, Executive Vice President at Purem by Eberspaecher, Ralf Maus, emphasized the special commitment of the team there: “The motivation and willingness to perform of the growing team in Louisville was proof that we are making an investment in the future. Today, we are celebrating the opening of our new plant in Louisville together. Grand opening ceremony
In addition to Ralf Maus, Andy Beshear, Governor of the State of Kentucky, was also impressed by the progress made in the construction of the new production facility. Maus praised the cooperation during the whole construction phase with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the city of Louisville: “We have not regretted our decision to locate in Louisville. In addition to the exceptionally good logistical location, we appreciate the excellent partnership with local officials.” The state of Kentucky will also benefit from the new location, as Governor Andy Beshear explains: “Kentucky’s automotive industry continues to see incredible momentum and remains one of our state’s most important sectors. This can only happen because of companies such as Purem by Eberspaecher committing to the commonwealth and its workforce. Today’s official opening event is an incredible achievement for not just Eberspaecher, but for Louisville and our automotive sector state-wide. I am thrilled to be here today to celebrate this exciting step and look forward to Eberspaecher’s success for many years to come.”
