Every year readers of the German magazine auto motor und sport select the best brands in the automotive supplier sector. Eberspächer is among the winners of the “Best Brand 2020” reader's choice also this year: In the “Exhaust System” category the Division Exhaust Technology of the Esslingen-based automotive supplier was awarded with first place. Within this category the most popular exhaust systems for retrofitting are honored. According to the publisher, 101,707 readers and users of auto motor und sport participated in the reader's choice. They gave Eberspächer another top ranking in the category “Pre-Heaters”. As last year pre-heaters from Eberspächer reached second place. Especially in the current times, it is crucial to travel safely on buses and coaches. This is because pathogens can spread more easily in enclosed rooms – such as the passenger area in public transport. To make travelling by bus and coach safer, Eberspaecher has developed a three-step-solution to provide clean air inside buses: Particle filters capture small water droplets containing viruses. The Polarised Media Electronic Air Cleaner filters small particles from the air even more effectively. Furthermore, the UV-C LED Module is the ideal solution to sterilize up to 99.9 percent of the air that is transported through the air-conditioning unit. With the opening of the new production plant in Saltillo, Mexico, Eberspächer is now in direct proximity to its North American customers and therefore the most important international car manufacturers. Complete emission control systems as well as components like particulate filters and catalytic converters for passenger cars and commercial vehicles are now produced at about 21,000 square meters. Almost 90 percent of the total area in the new plant is earmarked for the production and logistics areas. The buildings were completed in only nine months. Around 300 employees are already working at the plant and staff will increase to about 500 by mid-2021.
