Eberspächer exhaust systems for buses with natural gas propulsion
Buses have played an important role all along in the development of environmentally friendly technologies. It is therefore not surprising that numerous buses are running with natural gas engines in our cities.
A modified petrol engine is used for natural gas operation. Thanks to its "clean" fuel it generates clearly less CO2, NOx and particulate emissions than conventional engines.
Yet effective exhaust emission control is naturally also required for natural gas busses. The solution: A three-way catalytic converter with lambda control in which the silencer is directly integrated.
Thanks to this intelligent solution the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx), hydrocarbons (HC) and carbon monoxide is reduced to extremely low levels, so that the vehicles fulfil even the most stringent emission limits without difficulty.
